Experience the Dutch Cuisine in a Private Setting & Get a Taste of Dutch History
Within strolling distance from central station, near the Old Church an adventurous evening awaits...
Traditional Dutch Dining Experience
In the cosy and creative atmosphere of the Art Gallery SAPORA Concept sitting at a large communal table, you can enjoy a set 3 course dinner menu, home cooked by Jacky Krielaart.
The leading role is for the traditional Dutch cuisine, the menu is exclusively old-fashioned Dutch food and every course is accompanied by the right match of Italian wine from The Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
The setting is part of the experience as you enjoy your meal in a historical building overlooking the Old Church and a beautiful canal in the Red Light District of central Amsterdam.
The historical building was the first workspace of the famous Amsterdam identical twin sisters Louise en Martine Fokkens. For over 40 years they were working as prostitutes and they are believed to be Amsterdam's oldest window girls.
They also wrote a book about prostitution and their experiences at "de Wallen" which in 2011 led to the documentary "Meet the Fokkens" (Ouwehoeren), a portrait of these remarkable women, as well as a history of the Red Light District over the past 50 years.
